Breaking and entering suspects crash car into tree in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A vehicle suspected of being connected to a breaking and entering was crashed into a tree in west Charlotte Thursday afternoon.

The breaking and entering happened around 1:30 p.m. on Coronet Way, which is off of Rozelles Ferry Road near West Trade Street in northwest Charlotte. A short time later, CMPD’s Aviation Unit located a possible suspect vehicle and began following it.

Just after 2 p.m., that vehicle crashed into a tree at the intersection of Camp Greene Street and Marlowe Avenue, off of Wilkinson Boulevard. It is unclear if anyone was injured.

Police confirmed they “located the occupants” of the vehicle, but did not give any further details.

No names or possible charges have been released.
