Alexander County officials looking for hit-and-run suspect who crashed into house

TAYLORSVILLE, NC (WBTV) - The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in identifying a suspect vehicle that crashed into a house early Wednesday morning, before fleeing the scene undetected.

A residence on Piney Grove Rd. in Taylorsville incurred significant damage around 5:30 a.m. when a vehicle slammed into the front side of the house. Piece of the vehicle left behind at the scene indicate that it was a 1989 or newer Toyota pickup and that it may be silver, with 4-wheel-drive. The vehicle is believed to have significant front end damage as well.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crimestoppers or the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office at 828-632-2911 or 828-632-8555. A reward for information is being offered.
