CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short has been named to the 2019 Pro Bowl. He will replace Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald who is unable to participate due to playing in Super Bowl 53.
Short finished the 2018 season with three sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.
This is Short’s second career Pro Bowl selection after earning his first nod in 2015, which he did not participate in due to playing in Super Bowl 50. Short will join guard Trai Turner on the NFC roster as the only Carolina players to be represented in this year’s game. Luke Kuechly was selected, but will not play.
The AFC vs NFC Pro Bowl matchup takes place Sunday, January 27 at 3:00 p.m.
