CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Yet another winter storm in the rear-view and as we begin a new work-week we’ll get the chance to dry things out a bit. Temperatures will make it down to freezing tonight. Icy spots will again be possible in the mountains that may still have some residual winter weather from the weekend storm. There could also be a few evening showers or overnight snow showers in the higher elevations as the last bit of moisture swings through.
Come Monday, it will be a drier day, but not a whole lot sunnier. With stubborn clouds still in place and a north breeze, temps will stay below average; mid 40s for most areas with mid 30s in the mountains.
The rest of the week brings the return of the seasonable 50s with generally dry and pleasant conditions.
By late week we could actually approach 60° again in some areas. However, all signs are pointing to another large storm-system for the upcoming weekend.
Details are limited at this point, including timing and precipitation type, but you’ll want to stay tuned to the weekend forecast if you’ve got plans that weather could potentially impact this upcoming Saturday or Sunday.
Have a great evening!
