IREDELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A sergeant made a young boy’s day Monday as she let him sit in a patrol car and gave him a new teddy bear in Iredell County.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office posted the moment on Facebook Monday afternoon.

The moment happened while the sergeant was on patrol conducting a security check at the Love’s Truck Stop in Statesville.

Sgt. Bumgarner let him sit in her patrol car, where he was able to operate the lights and siren.

The young boy was even given a new teddy bear to take on his travels.
