GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) - Someone set a house was on fire in Gastonia Saturday morning, according to officials.
The Gastonia Fire Department says they were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 400 block of Myrtle Street around 11 a.m.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to a one-story home with smoke and flames visible. They went into the home and extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported, and officials say at the time of the fire, the home was vacant and undergoing renovation.
The Gastonia Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled that the fire was intentionally set.
