Lincoln Co. pair sentenced to prison in child sex assault case

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Lincoln County couple will serve between 23 and 32 years behind bars after pleading guilty in a child sex assault case from 2018.

Douglas Glenn Queen Jr, 29, of Maiden, pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree statutory sex offense, indecent liberties with a child and felony child abuse. The charges stem from a case involving a toddler that was first reported in September, 2018.

Queen was sentenced to a minimum of 276 and a maximum of 392 months in state prison and after he’s released from prison, Queen will serve 30 months of supervised probation and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. He will also be subject to satellite monitoring and will be forbidden from ever having contact with the victim.

On Friday, a second person - 27-year-old Ashley Nichole Lattimore -pled guilty to the same charges as Queen in the case. She was sentenced to a minimum of 240 and a maximum of 348 months in prison followed by 30 months of supervised probation and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
