2 arrested after 4 people flee stolen car in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Police say two people have been arrested after four people ran from a stolen car in Charlotte Saturday.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers caught two out of four people who were in a stolen 2004 Ford Explorer and ran from the vehicle on Moncure Drive.

Shortly after, police say they called off the search.

No weapons were seen and police say the stolen car was not taken in a robbery.

Police K9 and the CMPD helicopter were used and assisted in catching the two suspects who are in custody.
