Man wanted in knifepoint robbery of convenience store in Concord

CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - A man is wanted for robbing a convenience store at knifepoint in Concord in December.

According to the Concord Police Department, officers are seeking assistance identifying the individual responsible for the robbery of the 7-Eleven convenience store located in the 7300 block of Poplar Tent Road in Concord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018.

Around 9 p.m., police say an unidentified man entered the establishment and robbed the clerk at knife point.

It has not been determined if the subject fled the scene on foot or if he ran to a vehicle parked nearby.

Police say a white Ford Freestyle was seen on Poplar Tent Road shortly after the robbery and may be connected to this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’11” - 6’0” with a medium build and a scar on the left side of his face.

At the time of the incident, the thief was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black athletic shoes and was armed with a folding pocket knife.
