CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Steve Langley may not seem exceptional at first glance but that’s because he’s magical.

Langley has a special talent. A talent that has helped him claim a multiple world records over the years.

“I play with bubbles for a living,” said Langley, laughing through his words. “I have the best job in the world.”

Friday afternoon, Langley broke the Guinness World Record for the longest bubble train, in Huntersville.

“I get paid to play, essentially, and make people smile,” said Langley.

An “Italian gentleman,” as Langley calls him, held the record for the world’s longest bubble train for the last year and a half. He broke Langley’s record. That gave the world class Bubbleologist motivation to regain what he believes is rightfully his.

Langley’s art form, putting on elaborate soap bubble shows, has taken him all over the world.

“It’s just this crazy connection you have with people,” said Steve about his art form.

Langley has traveled from Huntersville to China and everywhere in between including the South Lawn at the White House for the Obama’s last Halloween party.

He has made a career out of creating soap bubbles.

“I play with bubbles for a living,” said Langley laughing through his words. “I have the best job in the world.”
