Students charged with having gun at high school in Concord

CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - A pair of students were arrested and charged for bringing a gun to a high school in Concord Friday.

According to the Concord Police Department, 17-year-old Jalen Rashun Dixon and 17-year-old Sieaira Lillian West were charged with felony weapons on campus or other educational property.

Dixon was additionally charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

Police say they arrested the two students Friday for possessing a firearm at Central Cabarrus High School.

An investigation found that Dixon brought the gun to Central Cabarrus High School Friday and at some point gave the firearm to West.

An administrator for Central Cabarrus located the firearm in West’s backpack and it was later determined that the firearm was reported stolen.
