ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Deputies are investigating after a man says he was stabbed multiple times for refusing to sell a shotgun.
The investigation began on Friday when the Rowan Sheriff’s Office got a call about a man in the hospital who had multiple stab wounds.
According to the report, the man, who lives in the 5500 block of Old Concord Road, told deputies that a woman he knew in high school had asked to stay the night at his house. At around 4:30 am, she wanted to leave. Two men came to pick her up.
Once inside the house, one of the two men noticed a shotgun on the wall in the living room. The man asked the victim if he could buy the gun, the victim said that the gun was not for sale.
Minutes later, the victim was struck in the back of the head with the stock of the shotgun bu the first man, while the second man began to stab the victim.
Deputies noted that the victim had several stab wounds, including one on the upper right thigh, three in the back, and several other cuts along his back.
So far, no charges have been filed, and the investigation is continuing.
