Michael Aftermath: Thursday, 11 p.m. forecast

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It’s over, Michael is gone. However, high wind warnings and wind advisories remain in effect overnight for the mountains and foothills as the higher elevations could still see gusts to 60mph overnight.

Also, flood advisories remain in effect along the Catawba river around Lake James, Lake Rhodhiss and Lookout Shoals.

Iredell County and northern Rowan County also have flood advisories through the predawn hours.

With that out of the way, we can start focusing on the weekend weather and our first true blast of Fall weather as crisp, cool Canadian air is in the process of arriving in our region as you read this.

Look for tons of sun over the weekend and a delightful pattern with highs in the low 70s and low humidity.

Enjoy your Friday and weekend!
