SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - A man accused of shooting another man in the head in Salisbury Friday night faces attempted murder charges.
According to the Salisbury Police Department, the incident happened in the 500 block of North Ellis Street at an apartment building. Officials say they arrived at the apartment to find a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was taken to Novant Health Rowan and then airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Toronto Jakeith Conley, 24, was charged with attempted murder following the investigation.
Conley was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $1 million bond.
